Equestrian Clubs

Morocco is the perfect place for all forms of horseback riding.
The Rabat-Salé region is the headquarters of the Royal Cavalry School in Témara and the Royal Moroccan Federation for Equestrian Sports at Dar Essalam, which has organized the famous « Equestrian Week » for the last 20 years.

There are a great number of clubs all over the region, where both amateurs and professionals can satisfy their passion for horses.

In all the clubs, the options go from beginner courses to hacking across country.

The cross-country excursions on horseback can be organized as a day outing or a few day trek along the Atlantic coast, the rivers (oueds) or in the hinterland forests.

For the little ones, there are many pony clubs with activities adapted to all ages.



Water Activities

Both shores of the Bouregreg and the Atlantic coast are paradise for water sports.

Year round, it is possible to go sailing, windsurfing, jet-skiing, water-skiing, surfing, body-boarding and also canoeing. Most of these activities are open to visitors of all ages, but mostly adapted to children over 7 years of age.

The region offers over 60 kilometers of shoreline, with beach after beach of fine sand. In addition to the beaches in Rabat and Salé, those in Témara (Sables d’Or, Gayville,Contrebandiers, Harhoura, etc.) and Skhirat (Marie-Rose beach among others), are highly valued. In the North, near Bouknadel, the waves at Nations’ Beach are a haven for surfers



Other Activities

The Aeroclub of Salé and the cliff of El Ouelja are prized assets for flying light planes, parachuting, hang gliding and paragliding.
Karate, go-karting, mountain biking, beach volley ball, dancing, pétanque, hiking, yoga, archery, etc.

There are an abundance of athletic clubs and associations in the region offering every imaginable kind of sport .
